Evseevskiy license block is located in the territory of Kirovskiy and Kurskiy districts of the Stavropol Territory, 33 km to the east from the Novopavlovsk railway station and borders with the village of Sovetskaya. The size of the block is 197 sq. km.
The long-distance pipeline Baku - Novorossisk (720 mm) is situated fifty km from the block whilst the Nevinomissk – Maikop gas pipeline (720 mm) is 180 km from the block.
The Stavropol territory is the youngest oil-bearing area of Ciscaucasia. For the last 30 years there the block has achieved the same level of exploration success as in the "old" areas.
The Lower Cretaceous formations in the Tersko-Caspian downfold are the main oil and gas exploration targets of “ZAAB Invest”. In this Tersco-Caspian downfold Evseevskiy block and Maryinskaya area are located and they are the license blocks of “ZAAB Invest”.
For the generalization of all geosciences data on Evseevskiy block and for the estimation of its oil and gas bearing capacity there have been completed the analytical work “The geological structure and the prospect of oil and gas bearing capacity of the Evseevskiy block and contiguous areas of the conjunction zone of the Northern board of Caspian downfold and Nogaiskaya bench of Stavropol Territory” , that has been conducted under the geological survey of LLC “ZAAB Invest” by means of JSC SPE “Sevkavgeoprom” (Essentuki).
At present, the total oil resources (including all productive horizons) of Evseevskiy license block are: geological resources – 39 083 thous t, recoverable resources – 18348 thous t.
