Rudevskiy license block is geographically covers in the territories of Labinskiy and Otradnenskiy districts of the southern part of Krasnodar Territory. The total area of the block is 488,1 sq km.
The nearest relatively large populated localities are: Labinsk - 20 km to the north-west from the block, and villages Izobilnoe, Mayak and others in close vicinity to the block. The landscape of the block in the southern part is hilly, in the north is more horizontal. The traffic network is represented by the asphalted autoroads passing practically the central part of the block, there are also numerous dirt roads. Nearby the highway there laid power supply line of 110 kW. 40 km to the north-east from the block there is an oil pipeline from Baku (720 mm), and 20 km to the north from the block there is a gas pipeline Maikop - Nevinnomyssk (720 mm). The nearest export port is Tuapse (160 km).
Tectonically Rudevskiy license block joins the southern side of the East-Kuban deep where Jurrasic and Triassic rift deposits good hydrocarbon traps are possible. Undiscovered potential resources of the said block according to the records of Ministry of Natural Resources of Russian Federation is 20 mln t of oil equivalent.
Not far from the block Kuznetsovskoe oil and gas condensate field and also Southern-Sovetskoe, Northern-Voznesenskoe and Eastern-Voznesenskoegas condensate fields were discovered. Nowadays on Rudevskiy block reprocessing and reinterpretation of seismic data of last years is being carried out (560 linear km) using the GIS data of 10 wells drilled before on this block or near it. It will allow to specify a geological structure of the block and to estimate petroleum potential.
